Why You Need to Maintain a Fitness Routine

I have experienced first hand the difference that regular exercise can make in your life. Learning to put yourself first is a journey, so start small. When I was younger I danced and I eventually became a dance teacher in my adult life. Since dancing was my job, I never had to even consider how my body would be affected without daily movement in my life. Well that changed pretty quickly, then a pandemic came along to make things worse. My energy was extremely low and my weight was up. My body was craving activity and I didn't even realize it. Since developing a fitness routine that excites me and is easy to maintain, I feel so much better! I am happier, more energized, at a healthy weight, and feeling proud of myself for pushing my mind and body to work together.
So now on to you! Here are a few reasons why you should consider adding fitness to your weekly routine. Exercise can boost your mood and help you support your mental health. It encourages your body to appreciate the habit of moving with intention while keeping your muscles and joints strong. And it is an easy step into a self-care routine. Don't let the idea of exercising overwhelm you. It is not something you have to do every day and you don't have to exercise for a long time. Choose a form of fitness that makes you happy. If you enjoy group fitness, check out the classpass app. It allows you to try different fitness studios in your area including dance fitness, Pilates, spin, and more. If you prefer to workout alone, give Peloton a try. It is my personal favorite! You do not have to purchase the Peloton bike, you can start with the Peloton app and any stationary bike. That's what I did, then I became obsessed and decided to invest in the Peloton bike. Spoiler Alert! It was worth it.
