How to Become Who You Want To Be

Stop being concerned with becoming who others things you should be And doing what others think you should do. You’ve gotta figure out who you are and what you truly want, only then can you design a life you love while being a version of yourself that you love. Dont be so nice, you’re too mean, smile more, why are you always smiling, wear your hair like this, that hairstyle doesn’t suit you, you’re so thin, you could lose some weight. We’ve heard it all, but conforming to ideals of perfection will never allow you to be truly happy.

So where do you start? With pen and paper. Make a list of everything you want to be in life. Keep it simple, then on the second look at your list, add details. For example, when I start my list I could write healthy, kind, financial stability. Then once I look at my list again, I can elaborate. Healthy- eat balanced meals, work out three days per week, take my vitamins, drink more water. Kind- be thoughtful, check on my friends and family more often, practice patience. Financial Stability- be debt free, have one year‘s salary in savings, maintain a reasonable budget.

When your detailed list is complete, start at the top and do something every day to work toward that goal. Making a daily schedule will help as well. For example, if you’re working towards being healthier, write down what time to take your vitamins every day, which days of the week you will workout, and a list of healthy grocery items you’ll pick up. Don’t get complacent and be patient, soon who you want to be will become a reality because you did the work. It is not easy, but if it’s worth to you, then you can and will achieve it.
