No one wants me, they said no again, I didn’t get the job, why can’t someone just love me, why aren’t I good enough? Have you ever had those thoughts run through your mind? Honestly rejection does suck, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try again. Start by readjusting your mindset. Rejection doesn’t mean they didn’t want you; it means you deserve something better. However, it is still important to take a moment to acknowledge your emotions and discern why those emotions are leading you to feel rejected. Once you process the disappointment, the healing begins, and you’ll be able to move forward. But there is work involved. Start with kind speech. Affirm yourself daily and truly believe the words you’re speaking to yourself. While simply reciting affirmations is helpful, it is vital to keep in mind that affirmations require consistent follow through. You have to make sure that you’re avoiding negativity in all aspects of your life. Whether that includes friends or family members that continuously speak negatively or even social media. If you’re following someone who makes you think negative thoughts or feel bad about yourself, hit that unfollow button. Once you have decluttered the space in your brain, you will have more time to focus on yourself and your personal growth. Taking an opportunity to learn new things can be a fantastic way to distract yourself from the disappointment you feel from rejection, but it can also open doors to new possibilities that you hadn’t thought of before. Maybe try a new hobby like book club, dancing, or hiking. Try something that truly allows you to broaden your perspective. You have to take steps every day to practice self-love.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you and you are valuable, so treat yourself that way. Learn to forgive yourself when you make mistakes and also take each rejection or mistake as a teachable moment to continually grow and become a better version of yourself every day.
